Ok!
Here is the Q & A "check list" that I said I would give
you... I will be taking this "list" from the four verses, one
at a time, from 1Corinthians 4- 8 Amplified Bible. I encourage you to ask
yourself these "questions" and be honest with your answers!
verse #4......Am I
"patient and kind"? Am I "envious or jealous"? Do
I "boast" about what I do? Do I have a "haughty"
spirit?
verse #5.....Am I
"conceited"? Am I "arrogant"? Am I full of
"pride"? Am I ever "rude" to others? Do I think
about my own "rights", and want everything to "go my
way"? Am I "touchy" and easily "offended"?
Am I "fretful"? Am I "resentful"? Am I keeping
a "record" of all the bad things that someone has done to me? (after
all, what they did to me was "wrong")....oops! I may be
stepping on some toes, now!
verse #6.....Am I happy
when "bad" things happen to people that I think ought to get what
they deserve? Or, do I pray for them to know the "truth" that
will set them FREE?
verse #7.....Am I leaning
on The Lord for the strength to go through anything and everything that comes?
Am I always ready to believe the "best" of every person? Am I
determined to have "joyful expectation" for God to do what He said
He would do? Am I willing to "endure", wihout weakening, until
the answer comes?
verse #8....I cannot
add anything to this, it says it all~~~LOVE NEVER FAILS!
Let me repeat what I have said many times
before....you do not have to "like" what other people do or
say. You do not have to "approve" of what they do or say.
God does not always like or approve of what we say and do.....but, He
loves us. To walk in "love" with others, does not
mean that you "agree" with their behavior...it just
"simply" means that you "see" them as valuable and
precious to God! However, I encourage you to go through the
"check list" and find out what YOU need to do, not what other people
need to do! After all, we are talking about what causes your
"faith" to work...and it only works by you keeping the
"commandment of love", not because of what others do or do not do!
