ENCOURAGEMENT for May 07, 2003 T.O.D.A.Y.
Ministries Let me encourage you today to think about what Jesus said in Mark 4:13...it is so simple and yet so profound! He is telling us to get an understanding of this teaching about "sowing and reaping", so that we can understand how the Kingdom of God works, and how God operates. Matthew 6:33, tells us to "seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness (which is His way of doing things), and then everything else will be added unto us! Let me share with you some "helpful hints" about reading the Word, and I will use your reading of the fourth chapter of Mark as a place to start, but this can also apply to whatever you are reading from the Bible. Look up the "reference scriptures" that your Bible gives you in your study, and also notice the marginal definitions of certain words, and refer to other translations. Ask The Holy Spirit to "reveal" the scriptures to you and to help you "retain" what He reveals to you. Let your Bible reading time be a "fun time", and not just a legalistic "duty".
