T.O.D.A.Y.’S ENCOURAGEMENT for May 14th, 2002

       Good Morning!

Today, I just want to share with you some things that have made such a difference in my life.  2 Corinthians 1:4 tells us to remember how The Lord comforted and encouraged us when we were going through trials, tribulations and afflictions, so that we could comfort and encourage others that are going through the very same things.

There are so many hurting people (and many of them are our own brothers and sisters in the family of God).  We need to ask the Holy Spirit to remind us about what He said in the above scripture.  If we have "been there.... done that" then we can encourage them.

People will relate to you if you can relate to them.  I know that this is true...Hurting people will listen to you if they know that you have been where they are!  Yes, Praise God for what
He did for you in your times of trouble, but take that blessing and use it to bless someone else.  Let them know how much God loves them and wants to deliver them and heal them from all their hurts and disappointments.  The Lord blesses us so that we can bless others!

I encourage you today to comfort someone "wherewith you have been comforted".
