Good
Morning!
Let
me back up and talk about Love being "kind", since I missed it on
Friday. By the way, we are still in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, which is our
"check-up list" to find out if we are keeping the Love Commandment
that Jesus gave us.
Verse
4 does say that Love is "kind". Kindness is part of God's
divine nature, and He has given us the ability to be "partakers of
His divine nature" (2 Peter 1:4). So, we have no excuse for being
"unkind"! Webster's definition of the word "kind"
(and I am only using some of them): gentle, tenderhearted,
sympathetic (or compassionate), using actions that correspond with
these kind of feelings! That should be an eye-opener!
You can have "kind" feelings toward someone, but never take time to DO
something about their situation! For example....if you see a handicapped
person that is struggling with their shopping cart (or whatever), you
may feel sympathy for them, but do you "use actions that correspond to
your feelings"? I think you know what I am talking about....this
doesn't only apply to people who are handicapped. It could apply to anyone
that just needs you to be "gentle" with them! The
opposite of being "kind" is: (and you may not like this, but
you can read it for yourself if you have a dictionary) being un-feeling,
un-caring and even cruel!
Question: (I
am going to use the "positive" side of the definition, rather than
the "negative" side).....you ought to be happy about that!
More
"interrogation" tomorrow! Not to worry, just be
honest with your answers, and The Holy Spirit will help us all
"grow up" by speaking the Truth in LOVE! I love you guys
and gals, and I appreciate you all taking time to read these "messages of
LOVE"!
Have
a Blessed Day!! ( Be "kind" to someone
today! ) In His Love, Luanne
