Good Morning!

I want to continue talking about the different "seasons" that occur in our personal lives.  I encourage you to visit our web site and read the previous encouragements about this subject.  Just click on the "Archive" link.  While you are there, check out the praise reports and testimonies.....you might even want to send one in, if this "ministry" has been a blessing to you!  We also care about your prayer requests.
T.O.D.A.Y. Ministries is "here for you"!

Friday, I talked about our "winter" seasons....as I said earlier, The Lord is using the "four seasons" of Nature to relate to the spiritual seasons we experience in our daily lives.  So, today, I want to talk about our "summer" seasons.

In the "natural", summer is a time when most people think about vacations and to take time off from their "jobs".  God is not against this...He wants us to have R&R!
However, taking a "vacation" from reading the Word of God and spending time with Him, will not bring R&R to us spiritually.  Actually, it will cause us to feel "dry and parched" from the heat (pressure) that is turned up in our lives.

Sometimes this heat comes from the devil, because he can see when we are "dry", and therefore easily ignited...so he sends fiery darts (Ephesians 6:16). God tells us the only way we can stop this is with the "shield of faith", and since faith only comes by hearing the Word of God, can you see why we cannot take a "vacation" from reading and listening to His Word?  The living waters of "The Word" will keep you from being dry!

There is one other reason for the heat (pressure) in our lives....and I will talk about that tomorrow~~~~~~~

Have a Blessed Day!!     (don't take a vacation from God!)      In His Love, Luanne
