Good
Morning!
We
are talking about the different "seasons" that come into our lives.
Some of those seasons are good, and some of them are not so good....but they
are going to come. Just like the "four seasons" of nature are
inevitable, so are the seasons of our personal lives. There is
nothing that we can do to keep these seasons from coming. Winter is
going to come, whether you want it to or not....so is summer, spring and fall.
However, how we "fare" in these different seasons depends upon our
"attitude" and our "altitude"! I will explain this later.
Let's
look at the "winter" seasons that occur in our personal
lives~~~This is a time when we feel the cold winds of adversity
blowing....situations arise that seem to put out the "fire"
that burned in our hearts when we first fell in love with Jesus....things
begin to look dark and dreary and we find ourselves feeling depressed....we
seem to become cold about the Word of God because we cannot
"feel" His presence.
This
is where "attitude and "altitude" is vital! This is
a time when The Lord wants to wrap us up in His blanket of peace and
remind us that we are "seated in Heaven with Jesus...far 'above' all
principalities",etc. (Read Ephesians 2:6 and 1:20-21).
That
is your "altitude".....now, your "attitude" should
be...."Lord, I trust you to take me through this winter
season in my life". Then make a decision to re-ignite the
"fire" that the cold winds have tried to "extinguish"!
(I encourage you to read Webster's definition of "extinguish").

about "seasons" next week~~~~~~~~~
