Good Morning!
Last week we talked about the importance of Praise. Today, I want to talk
about the importance of Prayer. Prayer, like Praise, is a privilege and
it is powerful.
You may be thinking, "well, I don't know if my prayers are powerful or
not." If you are praying in line with the will of God, then
your prayers are full of power! The
Bible tells us
that when we pray according to His will then He hears us. And, if we understand and believe that He
hears us then our prayers will be answered!
(Read 1 John 5:14-15).
We can see in 1 Timothy, chapter 2, that it is definitely God's will for us to
pray for all those in authority. So that is a good place to start. Especially right now, we need to be diligent
in this area of prayer! Think about it.... don’t assume that your prayer
is not important or that it won't make any difference. Start saying out loud "My prayers are
important, my prayers are powerful, because I am praying according to the will
of God!" When you do that, then The Holy Spirit will help you
pray and He will give you the confidence that you need to expect your prayers
to be answered.
I encourage you to pray daily for our leaders and those who are in
authority. You don't have to pray
"long prayers" for them to be heard and answered by God. They can be short and simple and still be
POWERFUL, if you are sincere and praying in faith.
Have a Blessed
Day!!
In His Love, Luanne
