Good Morning!

Fires and floods.........that is what is going on everywhere.  It is affecting the lives of Christians and non-Christians.  I don't know everything, but this one thing I "do" know----God is good, and He will take care of what belongs to Him!

In Isaiah 43:2, the Prophet, Isaiah, is talking about a promise of God to the redeemed. When we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we became the "redeemed" of the Lord.

Here is what God is saying to His people in that scripture; "When you pass through the waters I will be with you, and through the rivers they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through the fire you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame kindle upon you, (v.3) for I am the Lord your God".

People who don't know our God, would not understand the comfort and assurance of this scripture.  In fact, they say that these things are "acts of God".  They need to read the Bible!  God never brings destruction, death or devastation...that is the devil's job (John 10:10).  They also say, "It is all up to Mother Nature [whoever that is!?!]  I have not been able to find her credentials anywhere in the Bible.  However, I do find in the Word of God, that no matter what we go through, God is with us and will turn it around for our GOOD! Our part in all of this is to trust Him and believe that what He says He will do, He WILL do!!

I encourage you today, to pray for the victims of these fires and floods, and also to encourage the ones you know with this awesome promise of God.
