T.O.D.A.Y.’S ENCOURAGEMENT for July 3rd, 2002

Good Morning!

Tomorrow is July 4th (all of you knew that, of course), and America will be celebrating what we know as "Independence Day" and/or "Freedom Day".  In the natural, independence means freedom.  I am not disputing this...I understand that when America won their freedom, they became independent.

However, in the spiritual sense, those two words (freedom and independence) are not synonymous.  Most of you already knew that, too.

As Christians, in order for us to experience "freedom" (the kind that Jesus died to give us), we have to become completely and totally "dependent" upon The Lord!

When we choose to depend upon God, instead of ourselves, we become free from stress, anxiety, worry, fear, and failure.

"Lean on, trust and be confident in the Lord with all of your heart and mind, and do not rely on your own insight and understanding, In all of your ways acknowledge Him, and He
will direct and make straight and plain your paths" (taken from Proverbs 3: 5&6 Amplified Bible).

I encourage you today, to walk in "Freedom" by making sure that your "Dependence" is on Jesus!
