T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Jan. 04, 2008

As
I typed in the date for this Encouragement, I realized that it was my
husband's birthday. He is no longer with me . . . he went home to be
with Jesus almost twelve years ago. I had to pause for a minute before I
could start this Encouragement . . . and I heard The Lord tell me, "Talk
about it". Well, I have learned that The Lord always has a reason
and a purpose for everything that He tells us to do. Don't go
getting "sad" about this! Because what He wants me to
share is not going to be "depressing"! I believe He wants
to encourage someone with my testimony!
I
have never allowed the "spirit of grief" to overcome me. I
knew what God had to say about losing a loved one . . . He says, "Sorrow
not, as those who have no hope" (1 Thess. 4:13). I also knew that
He said that He already bore all of my "griefs and sorrows" when
He hung on the cross at Calvary (Isaiah 53:4). I knew where my
husband was, so it would have been nothing but selfishness on my part to
bear the "grief" that Jesus had already bore for me! Hold on .
. . have I "missed" my husband? Yes! But, I know I will
see him again! He would want me to be "joyful" about
knowing where He is . . . well, we can't be "joyful" and
"sorrowful" at the same time!
Here
is the message that I believe The Lord is wanting to get across ~~~~~ I
have had two husbands, but the one that I have now is the best
"husband" that I have ever known! His name is JESUS!!! He
provides for me, He protects me, He loves me like no one else has ever
loved me! I am going somewhere with this, so don't stop reading even if
you have not lost a husband. God has a special "covenant" with
widows, you can read about this all through the bible! So, if
you are a widow, you can be "comforted" with that "covenant
promise"! However, God also has a "covenant" with each
and every one of His children, and has a "covenant promise" for any
and every situation that may come in to your life! He is wanting you to
be "covenant minded", and that is the revelation that He will be
bringing to the "table" in my upcoming Encouragements! I pray
that someone has been "encouraged" by this message today, and that all
of you will be looking forward to what God has "prepared" for you
this year! It is all about "COVENANT"!
