Morning!
What
I am going to say to you today is what The Lord has instructed me to say.
He only wanted me to get you started on the check-up-list found in
1Corinthians 13:4-7, so that you could see for yourself if you are keeping the
Love Commandment. In yesterday's Encouragement, He gave us an example about
how to do this. I encourage you to go through the rest of those
scriptures and use that example that He gave us. In other words,
"think" about what LOVE does or does not do, and ask yourself
how this applies to you.
If
you will allow the Holy Spirit to show you some things, then when you read the
rest of these verses, you will be able to see that it all comes down to this
bottom line . . . if we are not able to "walk in love" the way
that Jesus has commanded us to walk, it is only because we don't know
who we are in Him! If you know who you are in Christ Jesus, you
will not be jealous of what others have, you will not be easily offended,
you will not have to be "boastful", or "fretful", or be
"keeping a list of how others have done you wrong" (all
of those things have to do with being self-centered and fearful)!
Did you know that the very opposite of God's kind of LOVE is not
"hate"? It is "selfishness"! And did you
know that God's kind of LOVE has no fear! When you know who you are
in Christ Jesus . . . you will be able to LOVE others the same way Jesus
loves you!
When
you finish reading the verses 4-7, I encourage you to read every scripture
that you can find that talks about who you are and what you have IN HIM!
Then you will understand verse 8 of that chapter, which says . . . LOVE
NEVER FAILS!
The
Lord is wanting us to have this revelation about "who we are in
Him", so that we can be free to keep His Love Commandment which
assures us that we will have His covenant blessings on our life, and then we
can get "out of ourselves" and in to helping others
find out who they are in HIM!
The
Lord is letting me know that He has some very life-changing messages that
He wants me to start sending out "for such a time as this"! We
are living in a very important time! I, personally, am very
grateful to God for including me to be a part of this "glorious
preparation" for the return of our Lord and Savior!
