Back
to the "peace-stealers"! Keep in mind, that the
"three" that I listed are not the only things that can steal
our "peace". However, I felt like these were the ones that I
really needed to "focus" on at this time. Mainly because they
all come to us from the same "source"...The spirit of FEAR! If
we allow that spirit to attach itself to us, it will cause us to
be~~~#1. Fearful....#2. Anxious....#3. Insecure, and that is
what I want to talk about today.
Peace-stealer
#3. INSECURITY (defined as not feeling safe). I
am sad to find out that so many "Christians" are insecure. I
minister to a lot of people on a daily basis, and this is the one thing that
seems to "surface" the most! I recognize this spirit when
I talk to them, because I lived with that for so many years myself. That
was before I found out who I am in Christ Jesus and that He alone was my
source of security! I was doing what so many precious "heirs"
of the covenant promises of God are doing today. They are looking to
find their security in "relationships", even though they can't
really "trust" the ones that they are in relationship with
because they are so "insecure" themselves! Can you see the
"futility" here? It is a vicious "cycle", and can
only be "broken" by finding out who you really are in Christ and by
looking to Him for your "security"!
If
you are concerned about what other people think, say
or do....then you are very "insecure"! The
"good news" is this~~~ you don't have to stay that way!
Remember this..."insecurity" is caused by being "fearful"!
Monday, I will be giving
you "scriptures" (covenant promises of God) that I believe will help
you "shake" off that "spirit of fear" that has attached
itself to you!
