Morning!
In
the third epistle of John, verse 2, it is very simple and plain what The
Lord's will is for His people. Even though the Apostle John
was praying for Gaius, we know that all of the "epistles" in
the New Testament were written for the entire body of Christ (which is
called The Church). The Apostle Paul was writing to the church at
Phillipi, when he said that God would supply all of their needs according to
His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus...but we, as believers, understand that
Paul was also talking to us. That is why we "confess"
that over and over. Well, it works the same way with what John
prayed!
With
that in mind, I want to take what 3John:2 says and "simplify"
it...this became a revelation to me and has been
"life-changing" for me! Let me break it down for you and
you will "see" what the Lord showed me~~~~~
The
verse says..."Beloved, I wish* above all things that you may prosper*
and be in health, even as your soul* prospers". Okay...first of
all, that word "wish" means to "earnestly desire". The
word "prosper" means to be "wealthy, rich, successful"!
Not just financially... but spiritually, physically, and in every area of your
life!
I
don't need to define the word "health"...we all know
what that means! However, the next thing John says, is that all of
the above will happen "even as your SOUL prospers". Here is
the "key"...we need "soul prosperity" first! Well, you
may be asking "How do we get this "soul prosperity"!
So, glad you asked!
Our
"soul" is where our mind, will and emotions
reside, and only the "Wisdom" of God's Word can bring these three
areas into "agreement" with His "will" for us!
So,
there you have it...plain and simple....God "earnestly
desires" for us to be (get this)~~~~HEALTHY, WEALTHY
AND WISE!
I "confess" this over myself,
and my children and grandchildren, EVERY DAY!
I say "out loud"...Thank you
Father, that I am HEALTHY, WEALTHY and WISE, and thank you Father, that
my children and grandchildren are HEALTHY, WEALTHY and WISE! Think
about it....If this is what God "earnestly desires" for us (and it
is), then we should be "confessing" His will for
us!
