Morning!
I want to continue to "build" on
the foundation that we laid yesterday (keeping the devil out of our garden).
This is the way that God always does everything...He lays a
"foundation" first, and then "builds" upon it! There
are many "scriptures" that confirm this principle...if you have a
"concordance", I encourage you to look up those scriptures and read
them!
Meanwhile, "back in the garden"
(those of you from Texas will understand that "phrase").
When we want to get back to what we were talking about, we always say,
"Meanwhile, back at the ranch"! Oh well
 ,
moving right along~~~~
A "garden" is a place where we
sow or plant "seeds", right? Well, our spiritual garden is our
"heart". The only seed that we should be sowing
into that garden, is the "Word of God"! However, we can
plant "bad" seeds in our hearts, and the way we do that is with our
"thoughts". Let me explain....whatever you continue to think
about will eventually come out of your mouth, and the "words"
that we speak out of our mouth are "seeds". They
get planted in our hearts! Once they get into our heart, we will continue
to talk about them (Matthew 12:34 says that "out of the abundance of the
heart, the mouth speaks"). Can you see the ongoing
"cycle"?
I encourage you to read the 4th chapter of Mark,
verses 3 - 20, because I am going to talk about this tomorrow and
you will see why it is so important that you "cast all of your cares upon
Jesus"...and leave them there with Him! Don't let those
"cares" get planted in your garden, they will "choke" out
the Word of God that has been sown in your heart today! More about
this tomorrow....stay tuned in!~~~~~~~
