Good Morning!

 

What will you be wearing today?                     (text message:  Ephesians 6: 11 - 18)

 

Our text message is about the "armor of God", and we have found our "belt and vest and shoes and hat" and I have talked about each one of them in my previous Encouragements.  However, I want to talk some more about our "hat", which is the "helmet of salvation".  When we received Jesus as our Lord and Savior, that is when we were given our "helmet".  The word "salvation" includes much more than getting our names written in the Lamb's Book of Life!  It also includes "safety, wholeness, soundness, health, deliverance, and everything else that Jesus purchased for us through the shedding of His blood on the cross!  SELAH!!!!  That means to stop and think about it!  It is a very vital part of the "armor"!  I repeat a PART of the "armor".   So many Christians just assume that the "helmet" is all they need . . . therefore, they are standing out there in front of the enemy with nothing on but their "helmet"!    Precious ones, that "helmet" is very important and it does mean that we have the victory over DEATH and have been given eternal LIFE in Heaven . . . however, we need to have on the "whole armor of God" in order to have "victory" over the devices of the devil while we are here on Earth!  This is where the "belt, vest and shoes" come in to the picture . . . You have to know the TRUTH of God's Word ("belt"), and you have to KNOW that you are the "righteousness of God" ("vest"), and you have to know how to walk in "the PEACE of God" ("shoes")!  When you really "KNOW that you KNOW" these three things, then you will be able to understand why you need to "pick up" the other two pieces of the "armor" that will bring you to a place of total victory over anything and everything that the devil could try to bring against you!

 

I will be talking about those two things in my next Encouragement.  The Lord has provided us with a "garment" that can make us "overcomers" . . . that can make us "victors" instead of "victims" and will enable us to put the devil under our feet where he belongs!  Not only does the "WHOLE armor of God" give us victory in our personal lives, but you will see how it also gives us victory in our "prayers" and our "intercession for others"!  Glory to God!   Thanks be to The Lord our God, who always gives us the VICTORY!
