Good Morning!
What will you be wearing
today? (text message: Ephesians 6:
11 - 18)
I want to continue sharing about the "Armor of
God", which is one of many spiritual "garments" that The
Lord has instructed us to "put on". We have already
talked about two other things that God has placed in our
"spiritual closet" for us to put on . . . which is the
"garment of Praise" and the "Robe of Righteousness".
Then we went to our "closet" and took the "Armor of God"
off of the "hanger" (Ephesians 6: 11-18), and started
finding out about each piece of it. I will let you refer
back to the earlier Encouragements that reveal to
us about the "belt , the vest, and the shoes".
We have one more thing to "put on" and that is
the "hat". The other two pieces of our armor are things
that God tells us to "pick up" and carry in our hands!
Oh! I am loving the way that The Holy Spirit is
revealing all of this to us! Even in the "natural" . .
. once we get dressed for the day, there are still some
things that we have to "pick up" and carry in our hands
in order to be fully prepared for the day! You know . .
. like the "keys" to the car, or a "briefcase", or a
"purse", or a "list", or an "umbrella", and of course .
. . don't forget your "Bible"!
Okay! Now, before we talk about those things
that we are to "pick up" . . . let's get back to the
other piece of the "armor" that we need to "put on"! I
have been calling it the "hat" . . . it is the "helmet
of salvation"! Anyone knows that a "helmet" is designed
to PROTECT our heads. Right? Well there is a
"spiritual" connection here . . . think about it! What
is in our head? Our mind, which includes our
"thoughts", which is the very area that the enemy
attacks first! I have so much to share about this, and
I cannot do it all in this one Encouragement, so I
will have to continue this in my next Encouragement on
Wednesday. You know what? I knew, in my spirit, that
when I started this series on our "spiritual garments",
that it would be an "on-going" message . . . so if you
are really interested in finding out what is in your
"spiritual closet", then you will just have to be
patient with me and the Holy Spirit to let you know what
you have "hanging" in there! See you Wednesday ~~~
