T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Aug. 25, 2008
Good
Morning! Are
you remembering to "renew" your CHOICES everyday? Do you know
why it is important to do this everyday? Lamentations 3:22-23 says,
"Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions
fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your
faithfulness". If God can renew His mercy for US every morning, we can
renew our 'commitment' to follow the path that He has chosen for us every
morning also! And
when we say, "Lord I CHOOSE LIFE today, I CHOOSE BLESSINGS today", we
are being obedient to the scripture in Deuteronomy 30:19 which says, " . .
. I have set before you this day, life and death, blessings and
cursing; therefore choose life, (don't stop there like most people do . . . keep
reading) that both you and your descendants may live; ~~( We choose life
for ourselves AND OUR FAMILY)! That verse ended with a semi-colon so read
on to the next verse too, "that you may love the Lord your God, that you
may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He IS your life
and the length of your days (a long life) . . . ". Look
back at the first sentence of Deuteronomy 30:19 - there are OPPOSITE choices
that could be made as well. If you don't choose life, are you choosing
death? If you aren't choosing blessings, are you choosing curses?
It's my opinion that Satan doesn't really want anyone to really read and
understand this verse. There
are so very many scriptures that speak to the Blessing side of this. Luanne has
addressed many of them as she has taught us about the Covenant Promises of God.
So I think I will save that for later in the week, because I may not get
to send out the message for Wednesday. However, I will be back Friday.
Until then, PONDER, MEDITATE and THINK ABOUT the verses I've given you today and
let the Holy Spirit minister to you as you grasp a deeper understanding of them. Have
a Blessed Day!!
(CHOOSE and Ponder…)
In His Love, Luanne's Friend Judith
