Morning!
Amazing
grace...how sweet the sound! That is a song that is familiar to all of
us. I started singing that song when I was very young and I am still singing
it. However, I sang that song for many years without having a
"clue" about how amazing His Grace really is! That
is because I did not know then, what I know now. I did not know
about the "power" of His grace.
I
think I just equated it with His "mercy", because I had heard
people say things like..."except by the grace of God, there go I".
It always referred to people that did not have any shoes, or were "down
and out". I praise God for showing me that His
"Grace" is so much more than that! Don't misunderstand me,
I am very grateful for God's mercy! I need it in my life
every day! But there is a "difference" between His mercy
and His grace. I want to say this just right, so that there is no
"confusion".
God's "grace" is not passive...
it is one of His most aggresive attributes! It is His
power to "take from the spiritual realm" and "CHANGE the
natural realm"! This is revealed to us in Ephesians
2:8...think about it! Before you got "saved", you were
dead in sin, but His "Grace" made you alive unto Him!
(read Ephesians 2:5).
There is so much more to share about this,
so I will continue tomorrow~~~~~
