T.O.D.A.Y.’S ENCOURAGEMENT for Aug. 6th, 2002

Good Morning!

First of all, I want to "welcome" all of the newcomers who have recently asked to have these encouragements sent to them.  Thank you for your interest, and I thank God for your desire to learn more about Him.  I have that same desire!

In continuation of talking about "getting the Lord involved' in every aspect of our daily lives, we are going to look into: Faith vs. Fear.  We have already established the fact (Yes, I am going to say it again) that these two spiritual forces are in opposition to each other.  You cannot operate in fear and faith at the same time. It is impossible.

So many people do not really understand what "faith" is, or how it works.  We tend to complicate the simple principals of God's Word. I encourage you to do this...whenever you see the word "faith" in the Bible, use the word "trust", (which is the actual translation). For example; Hebrews 11:1 tells us.  "Now faith is... Read it this way; "Now trusting God is... If you are not familiar with this scripture, then please read it in order to understand what is being said here.  It is really simple, bottom line, "faith" is just "trusting" God!

We were created to live by faith.  To "live by faith" means that it has to be a lifestyle; a way of life.  That is the reason that God did not give us a "spirit" of fear (2 Timothy 1:6).  I will share some more about this tomorrow.
