Good Morning!

Today we are going to talk about Pride vs. Humility, and tomorrow we will talk about Faith vs. Fear.  We need to have an understanding of these principals in order for us to receive all of the wonderful blessings that The Lord has for us.

Pride hinders us from receiving from God, because He has already established His Word concerning this.  James 4:6 tells us that The Lord gives grace to the humble, but that He resists the proud.  This does not mean that He resists or holds back anything from a "person".  It is "pride" that He is resisting.

Pride is a "spirit".  The same spirit that came into the Garden of Eden, and told Eve that she didn't need to believe what God had said.  Do not let pride keep you from having all that God "has said".  One of the things that He has said, is that He is a very present help in time of trouble.  He knew that we would have times of trouble, and He also knew that we would need His help. Psalms 46:1)

Pride will never ask for help...but Humility will.  Pride says "I can do it myself"...Humility says, "Without you, Lord, I can do nothing".

The Bible tells us how to humble ourselves and walk in humility..."cast all of your cares upon Him, for He cares for you." (Read James 5:6,7)  See how simple it is to get God involved in your life?
