T.O.D.A.Y.'S  ENCOURAGEMENT for Apr. 18, 2006

Today I am going to try and finish up verse 5 of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, which has been our "text" for a long, long time!  I can hear a bunch of "Amens" on that!    Well, evidently God thinks it is important!  If you think about it . . . we have been doing this study on God's kind of Love, and on how to obey His "Love commandment", for just a couple of months (I think we started on Valentine's Day).  Hey!  Some people have spent 4 "years" or more learning how to "succeed" in life!  Can I ask you a question? What is the opposite of "success"?  Yes!  You are right!  It is "failure"!  Well, when we make a decision to obey God's love commandment . . . our "success" in life will be guaranteed!  Why?  Because LOVE NEVER "FAILS"!  You can read all the books that are out there about "How to Succeed in Life", or you can read the "One" book that really has the ANSWER!  Those "other" books may tell you how they think you will have "success", but then that may depend on what "kind" of success you are looking for.   Are looking to succeed for "financial" reasons?  Are you looking to succeed for "self- esteem" reasons?  If so, then you will find out how to do that in those "other" books.  But, your "success" will only be "temporal" and you will come up "empty"!  There is only "one" road to permanent "success" . . . . WALK THE LOVE WALK!

All of you that have been reading my encouragements for any time at all, know that this happens.  I have a "plan" in mind when I start out, but because I pray and ask the Holy Spirit to say what "He" has to say . . . . . . He always answers my prayers!  So, there you have it!       

So instead of saying, I will get back into verse 5 tomorrow . . . . I will just say this,  I will show up for work tomorrow and I will type what the Holy Spirit tells me to type!
