Good
Morning!
Today's message is a continuation from what
we talked yesterday from Matthew 11: 28. Let's look at verses 29
& 30~~~~~~
"Take my yoke
upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle (meek) and humble, and you
will find rest---relief, ease and refreshment and blessed quiet for your
souls.
For my yoke is
wholesome (useful, good)---not harsh, hard, sharp or pressing, but
comfortable, gracious and pleasant; and my burden is light and easy to
bear".
Oh! There is so much to
"glean" from these two verses, so I may not be able to get
it all in today. However, The Lord has not given me a
"time-limit" on what He wants me to share!
First of all, Jesus is talking about
taking "His" yoke, which is entirely different from the "devil's"
yoke that brings "bondage, condemnation and oppression".
Jesus said that "His" yoke would teach us, not condemn
us! It will teach us how to be like Him, and He is "gentle and
humble"! As I am typing, I am thinking about so many
"other" scriptures that relate to what we are talking about. I
will try to share all of those with you later, because God wants us to
take in the "whole" counsel of His Word. He wants us to learn
how to think about "other scriptures" that relate to the ones that
we are reading. This is the way The Holy Spirit has taught me about
how to read The Word of God (the Bible)! It is like "fitting the
pieces of a JigSaw puzzle together until you can see the whole
picture".
Tomorrow, I want to talk some more about
the "yoke". I will share with you what The Lord showed me
about this and it really blessed me....I pray that it will bless you also!
Have
a Blessed Day!!
(stay "teachable"!)
In His Love, Luanne
