Good Morning!

I am using the Amplified Version of the Bible to expound on 1Corinthians 13:4-8, and I started this "series" out by saying that The Lord gives us Stop signs in our daily journey with Him...(I encourage you to go back and read that "encouragement").  You can go to the "archive page" on our website....it started with April 07, 2004.  I gave you some "scriptures" that show us some of those Stop signs.

Now, we are walking through the "scriptures" that are found in 1Corinthians 13...I guess I should entitle this part of the series..."Stop in the name of Love"!  (no pun intended!)

We have already looked at the Stop signs in verse 4...let's move on to verse 5.  I encourage you, again, to put your name wherever you see the word "love"!

1Corinthians 13:5....Love is not conceited---arrogant and inflated with pride; it is not rude (unmannerly), and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on it's own rights or it's own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it---pays no attention to a suffered wrong.

Are you willing to say.....I refuse to be conceited and full of pride, and I refuse to be rude, and I refuse to insist that everyone has to let me have "my way", and I refuse to be "touchy" or "resentful", and I refuse to "keep a record" of all the hurtful things that someone has said or done to me?  If you are willing to say that "out loud", then you have made a "decision" to obey some of the STOP signs, which means that you are still "making progress" on your journey....but, there are more STOP signs up ahead!  We will talk about them tomorrow~~~~~

Have a Blessed Day!!             (Keep it Simple!)        In His Love, Luanne
