Good Morning!

Living life in the "fast lane" can be verrrry stressful!  Think about it.... even in the natural, people who are over in the fast lane of the interstate or freeway sometimes have to break the law just to "keep up" with everyone else.  (There is something wrong with this picture!)  However, there are "signs" along the way that give people an "option".... i.e. "slower traffic, keep in the "right" lane...could that mean that the "fast" lane might be the "wrong" lane?  Come on, now, laugh a little with me!!

If you will take this example, and apply it to you "daily journey" with The Lord, you will be able to see that if we are in too big of a hurry to get where we think we want to go, then we may miss the "signs" that God puts up. One of them might say, "stay in the "right lane" (or to put it scripturally...."stay on the "right path"!)

He wants to "direct" us "in traffic", because He has a "path" for us that will keep up in "peace"!  Another "sign" He puts up, is..."rest stop ahead--- exit here".  The Lord wants us to enter in to His rest, and just "wait on Him", so He can renew our strength.

The Bible tells us that in His presence is fullness of Joy...and it also says that the "Joy of The Lord is our strength".  You know for a fact, that there is no Joy or Peace in the "fast lane".... it will only come when we "slow down", stay on the "right path, and take time to "rest" in His presence!     More tomorrow............
