Good Morning!
Our "proverb" for today, continues to show us the contrast between
"wisdom" and "foolishness" and between the wise person and
the "fool". We have already established, (based on the Word of
God), that a Christian is not a "fool".... we can see that by the
scripture that tells us...a "fool" says in his heart that there is no
God (Psalms 14:1).
However, even though we are not "fools", we have the freedom of
"choice", to be "foolish", or to walk in the
"wisdom" of God that has been made available to us. Wisdom
begins with a reverential fear of God (Proverbs 1:7) and so the wisest thing we
can do, is to "stay humble before The Lord"!
Let me prove this out, by looking at the very last part of the last verse in
today's proverb...verse 33 (this is also brought out in Proverbs 18:12)
HUMILITY COMES BEFORE HONOR!
Think about it.... Satan decided to "exalt himself", instead of
"humbling himself", and look what it cost him...not only did he lose
his job as praise and worship leader, but he got kicked out of heaven, made to
crawl on his belly and become a "pile of ashes" under our feet!
I encourage you, today...stay humble before God, and He will exalt you, honor
you, and promote you! (1Peter 5:6 and James 4:10)
Have a Blessed Day!! In His Love, Luanne
