Good Morning!
I am going to be sharing some things
with you, and I do not want you to
think that I am being disrespectful
or irreverent to our wonderful
Lord. I would never do that! I
just want to let you know how He let
me know that He has a sense
of humor, so lighten up and allow me
and the Holy Spirit to have some fun
with you!
One day, I was wondering about how
God feels when we try to put Him in
a box or a time frame on how He is
going to do what we are wanting Him
to do. We get to
thinking....."maybe He will do it
the same way He did it last time, or
just maybe He will do it like I want
Him to do it". Then, it was like I
could hear Him singing......
"Give me room, lots of room;
underneath my starry skies.
DON'T FENCE ME IN!" (
I laughed out loud!)
I also remember, the time that I
decided that Jesus must have a sense
of humor. I was reading the
scriptures that talk about Jesus
finding a man living in a grave
yard, and He was full of demons.
Jesus spoke to those demons, and
they cried out to Him and begged Him
to not cast them into the pit, but
to allow them to go into the
swine. Jesus must have had a smile
on His face when He gave them what
they had asked for. He already knew
what was going to happen! We all
know the rest of the
story....the demons went into the
pigs, the pigs ran down a cliff,
fell into the lake and drowned! I
had read about this many times
before, but this time when I read
it, I knew that Jesus has a sense of
humor! (I laughed and laughed!)
The Holy Spirit also has a
sense of humor. I experience that
on a daily basis, as I fellowship
with Him! He puts thoughts in my
mind that make me laugh and that is
how God fulfills His covenant
promise that says...."He will fill
our mouths with laughter"!
As I have been typing these
messages out, the Lord has let me
know what my next assignment is. He
wants me to "re-send" some messages
that I sent out before. It has been
quite a while ago that I sent them
out, but He is showing me that they
tie in with what I have been sharing
recently, and that it is still
relevant to this day and time. I
will start those up next week. In
the meantime, enjoy fellowshipping
with the "joyful and fun side" of
God!
Have a blessed weekend!
(Let the Lord fill your mouth with
"laughter")
