Romans
8:14...."For all who are LED by The Spirit of God are the SONS
of God".
I
have been led by The Holy Spirit to expound on this scripture in my
Encouragement for today. I have made a point to accent the two
words that I underlined for a reason. If we are being
"led" by something or someone, it means that we are "following
after" that person or desire. It means that we are making a choice
and allowing that person or thing to lead us where they want us to
go! The word "sons" in that scripture denotes
"maturity". So, with all that in mind . . . let me share with
you what that scripture is saying ~~~~ When we make a decision to allow the
Holy Spirit to "lead" us, then that means that we have reached a
place of "maturity" in the knowledge of God's Word!
Allow
me to give you an example ~~~~ I have had a lot of people "justify"
why they watch the news on T.V. by telling me . . . "I just do this so
that I will know what to pray for". Now, you may get mad at me for
what I am about to say, but I am just "speaking the truth in love",
and if you will read the scripture that I took that from, you will
see that "speaking the truth in love" causes us to GROW UP!
(Ephesians
4:15).
You
do not need to tune in to the "media" to let you know what to pray
for . . . if you are "tuned in" and "being led by"
the Holy Spirit, He will let you know what to pray for! He
will even let you know "how" to pray and will help you get the
perfect will of God concerning what you are praying for (Romans 8: 26 - 28).
This is just one of His COVENANT promises to us! I don't know about you,
but I would rather be "led" by the Holy Spirit concerning my "prayer
time", than by people who may not even know about my Father's
COVENANT with me! Well, I am just being obedient to do what God
has "assigned" me to do . . . and that is to give you the "Good
News"!
