There
is nothing, absolutely nothing, more real to me than the fact that I have
a COVENANT with God! He has given me the "revelation" in my
spirit that whatever He has said, in His Word, that He
would do for me . . . HE WILL DO IT! How did I get this
"revelation"? The same way that we get anything from the Lord
. . . by "faith"! Faith comes by "hearing" (not just
by "reading"). I saw that truth in Romans 10:17 . . . so,
that is when I realized that I needed to read the Word of God out loud, so
that I could "hear" myself SAYING IT OUT OF MY MOUTH! I
learned how to take all of those COVENANT "promises" and make them
personal to me . . . i.e. when I read Philippians 4:19 that says,
"God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in
glory", I make it "personal". The word SHALL is a
COVENANT word. When God "promises" to do something for us, we
do not have to "ask" Him to do it! This is where we need to
leave off "asking" Him to do it, and start "thanking" Him
for doing it! So, I say . . . "Thank You, Father, for meeting ALL
of my needs. Thank you for doing this according to YOUR
"resources" and not according to MINE (such as my Social
Security check)! Some of you could say it this way . . . "not
according to the pay check from my job, or not from me
"depending on other people" to help me out"!
There
has to come a time when we STOP just "a-hoping and a-praying"
for something from God, and START "believing and receiving" His
COVENANT promises! That can only happen when we understand that He is a
COVENANT God! His COVENANT is a COVENANT of Love! This simply
means that His "love" for us is totally unconditional . . . however,
His COVENANT "promises" to us are
"conditional"! We have to "believe and receive" them
by FAITH! So, before you start trying to "complicate" the word
FAITH, and before you start "wondering" if you are operating in
FAITH or not . . . just stay tuned in! I am going to be sharing some
things with you that I believe (if you will really think about
what I am going to share), The Holy Spirit will give you a deeper
"revelation" about FAITH and COVENANT! We all need to hear
