Morning!
Well,
guys and gals....just wanted to let you know that I won't be sending you the
daily "encouragement" next week. The Lord has been
"nudging" me to take some time off, and so I am going to have to be obedient!
I love my "job" and I love my "boss", so I have to do what
the "boss" tells me to do! After all, if it wasn't for Him, I
would not have this job! However, there is a lot more to this ministry
than me just sending T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT. I don't want to go into
all of that, other than to let you know that it is all very time consuming,
and sometimes it keeps me from spending "quality time" with HIM!
We should never let our "ministry" keep us from letting The Lord
"minister" to us!
Jesus understood the importance of this
"principle"...you can read this in the Bible. There would be
times, when he "departed" from the people, and got alone with God to
pray and "wait upon Him to renew His strength". Everything
Jesus did was to be an "example" for us to follow! I
had not planned to get into such a "lengthy" explanation of why I
was going to take some time off. I guess someone needed to hear that.
Anyway, I want you to know that if I don't
reply to your emails, or return your phone calls next week, don't be
"offended". You can still send in your prayer requests and
praise reports...we are not going to "forsake" you! Also, you
don't have to miss out on a "daily encouragement", if you will go to
our web site each day and read one from the "Archive". I
believe that the Holy Spirit will lead you to the one that you need each day!
I will be back with you on Monday, November 08.
I am going to be praying for the
"safety" of all children this weekend, and also for God to give all
parents "wisdom"! I am sure that you know why I will be
praying for this, and I also know that many of you will be praying
the same way!
