T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Nov. 27, 2007

For
a long time now, I have talked about how God wants us to come to a place of
"spiritual maturity", and also to a place of "intimacy"
with Him. I really believe that when we find that place of "intimacy"
with Him, it will take us to that place of "maturity"!
So, let's spend some time getting to KNOW Him more, so that we can become
more intimate with Him and begin to grow up into Him in all things! Are
you ready to go for it! If you are, then let's roll!
Let's
look at some scriptures that talk about who and what "God is"
~~~~~ I want to start with one that I stand on all the time . . . Psalms 46:1
tells us that God is a very present help in time of need and trouble. I
encourage you to read that scripture, and when you do . . . stop and meditate
on the first two words which are>>>>GOD IS! Think about it .
. . that is a powerful truth just in itself! If you will excuse my
grammar . . . a lot of people think that GOD AIN'T. They don't think
that He even exists! But, I am here to tell the world that GOD IS! I
want to share some scriptures that start with those same two words. Back
to Psalms 46:1 . . . "GOD IS . . . a very present help in
time of need"! Just think about the word "present" . . . If he
says that He is "present" in your time of need, then that means that
He will "show up" and "be there for you" whenever you need
Him! He will be right smack dab in the middle of your trouble, to give
you the help that you need! Oh, precious ones! This is "Good
News"! It is also the "truth", you just need to
believe it and receive it! There are so many more scriptures that
back this "truth" up about God taking care of our "needs",
but for now, I just want to talk about the scriptures that say "GOD
IS"! The next one that I want us to look at is found in 2
Corinthians 9:8 ~~~~~ it tells us that GOD IS . . . able! I
encourage you to read it, because that is what I want to really expound on in
my next Encouragement! I love this "assignment" and I could
talk about this until Jesus comes back!
 You
know why I love doing what we are doing right now? Allow me to borrow
from a song they used to sing on the Miss America Pageants and some of you may
remember the tune. We are . . . "getting to know Him, getting to
know all about Him"!
