T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Nov. 16, 2007
T.O.D.A.Y.
Ministries
14745 Merrilltown #1611 Austin TX 78728 Good Morning!
Yesterday,
I received an email from one of my precious readers asking me to explain what
I meant when I said in my song . . . The Lord tells me that "as He
is, so am I". So, I want to talk about that today, just in case
some others might not understand it either.
First
of all, that is not something that I just "came up with" to put in
my song!
Let's
stop and think about it . . . How IS Jesus? Notice I am not asking WHO
is Jesus . . . we all know that He is God as part of the Trinity (God the
Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit), but the question seems to be
about HOW Jesus is . . . or to put it in everyday talk that we all
understand, we could say this ~~~ How is Jesus doing? My thought on this
is . . . if I were to ask Jesus, How are you doing, Jesus? His answer
would be the same as what we say when someone asks us "How you
doing"? He would say, "doing good! How are you
doing"! He is the same, in heaven, as He was on earth! Your
Bible says that Jesus went about "doing good" and healing all that
were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38). He is the same
"yesterday, today and forever" (Hebrews 13:8). He is
"alive and WELL"! He is not "down and
out"! He is "victorious"! He is not
"defeated"! He is gentle, kind, merciful, powerful, unselfish,
giving, mindful of His covenant, full of peace and joy, and most of all . . .
He is LOVE! These are just a few examples of "how" Jesus
is . . . so, when He tells me that AS He is, I can be also . . . then
that is why I have decided to believe Him!
