ENCOURAGEMENT for May 05, 2003 T.O.D.A.Y.
Ministries Did you do your "homework"? The reason I give you these "assignments", is just to encourage you to get into the Word of God and read it for yourself. I don't expect anyone to take "my word" for what it says. I can "share" the Word with you, I can "preach it and teach it", but The Holy Spirit is the only one that can "reveal" it to you! The parable of the "sower" is vitally foundational, because Jesus tells us in verse 13, that if we can't understand this teaching, then we won't be able to understand the rest of His teachings...let me put it in a positive sense...If we "will" allow the Holy Spirit to give us understanding of this parable, then we "will" be able to understand everything else that Jesus has to say to us! Jesus gives the parable in verses 3 thru 8, and then in verses 14 thru 20, He explains what it means. If He took time to do this for the "twelve", He will do it for you!! My encouragement to you, today, is "stay teachable" when you read your Bible... I will be talking a lot more about these scriptures in Mark, chapter 4>>>>>>>> Have a Blessed Day!!!
