Good Morning!
In Isaiah 26:3, The Lord tells us that if we will keep our minds on Him, and
trust in Him, then He will keep us in "perfect peace". I used
to read this scripture and think...."how is this possible"? You may be thinking the same thing. However,
this is not as difficult as it may appear to be.
Verse 4 gives us some insight and understanding as to how we can do
it..."So trust in The Lord---commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope
confidently in Him---forever; for The Lord God is and everlasting rock---the
Rock of Ages! (Amplified Bible).
Everyone is just naturally involved in the different cares of our daily
lives. There are situations and
problems that arise on a regular basis that require our mental attention.
God knows this and understands...."Stuff" happens! Car
problems, money problems, job problems, kids problems, people problems, church
problems, traffic problems, marriage problems, "self" problems, the
list goes on...BUT He says that we can have "peace", no matter what
is going on.
Whenever you find yourself in a "problem" situation, stop and think
about what you are thinking about! Don't keep thinking about the
"stuff" that is stealing your peace...Start thinking about The Lord
and His promise to give you peace, and then "trust' Him to do just
that. Then keep your mind focused on
Him and His Word and Peace will come.
You will have to make a decision to do this. Just say this:
Lord, I will think about your goodness,
I will think about your mercy,
I will think about
your faithfulness,
I will
think about your Love!
You can have the "Peace that passes understanding".
Have a Blessed
Day!!
In His Love, Luanne
We welcome your comments and
prayer requests.
