Morning!
Many
times, for one reason or another, we are asked to give a list of our
"assets". This usually comes up when we are filling out some
kind of "application form", and the people that are asking for this
information are referring to all of our personal possesions.....i.e. real
estate, savings accounts, jewelry, etc. Wouldn't it be great if all of
us Christians could put "Peace" at the top our list?
I,
personally, consider that as my greatest "asset"! The
reason I feel this way is simple.....it would not matter how much property
I owned or how much money I had in the bank, if I did not have the Peace of
God in my life! It is His gift of Peace that enables to me to
"enjoy" what I do have, and keeps me from worrying about what
I don't have!
Jesus
could have given us many different things as His "going away gift"
to us....but He chose to give us Peace! (John
14:27).....think it about it like this: I bring you a
"gift" and hold it out to you...if you refuse to reach out and receive
that gift, then you would never be able to benefit from the gift!
I
encourage you, today, to receive and embrace the "gift
of Peace" that The Lord wants to give you....it will be your greatest
"asset"! (read the 14th chapter of John)
