Morning!
Lately,
we have been talking about "leaning" on Jesus. We really need
to get a revelation about how important it is to obey this instruction
from The Lord, and how beneficial it is to our everyday lives! I am
reminded of a song that we used to sing in the church that I grew up in. Back
then, I did not even think about the fact that the words I was singing were
"covenant" promises from God to me. Even though I was a
Christian, my mind had not been "renewed".... so I was
"singing it" but I wasn't "getting it". Can anyone
relate to what I am talking about?
Anyway,
this song is much more meaningful to me now.....so sing along with me and
think about how the words of this "song" relate to the
"scriptures" that inspired someone to write them~~~~~~~~~

leaning on the everlasting arms;
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
leaning on the everlasting arms.
What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
leaning on the everlasting arms;
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near,
leaning on the everlasting arms.
Leaning....leaning....safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning....leaning....leaning on the everlasting arms!
I made a suggestion in one of my previous
encouragements to "actually" lean over on The Lord, and I
encourage you again, right now.....go ahead and "lean" over on Him!
Come on, you can do this.........see how much "peace and joy" comes
to you from doing that?
