Good Morning!
In Ephesians 5:1, we are instructed to be "imitators of God"-- to
"copy Him" and follow His "example"--even as children
imitate their parents (paraphrasing the Amplified version).
We have the tendency to "complicate" The Word and make it hard, but
The Lord makes it very plain and "simple", if we will just take time
to "listen" to Him.........We really can be imitators of God and follow
after His example...
God, the Father, is a "lover" and a "giver" (John 3:16....
God LOVED so much that He GAVE).
God, the Son, is concerned about the needs of others.... He has never had an
"all-about-me" mindset (Acts 10:38...Jesus went about "doing
good" and healing all that were oppressed of the devil), that is just
one of "many" scriptures that show us the "unselfish"
lifestyle of Jesus.
God, The Holy Spirit, "helps" people, "comforts" people, He
leads people into the Truth and He "points the way to Jesus".
If we are being imitators of God, then we will do "all of the above",
and God, Himself, has enabled us to do this.
So, now, it is not about our "inability" to follow His
example, it is only about our "decision" to do it.
Say this.... I choose to be a "lover" and a "giver", I
choose to be more concerned about the needs of others than I am about my own
needs, I choose to "help" others, to "comfort" others,
to lead others to the Truth, and to point the way to Jesus!!
Have a Blessed Day!! In His Love, Luanne
