T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for Mar.14, 2003 

Good Morning!

The song that I am going to share with you, today, may sound like a "commercial" for a certain telephone company...but, in fact, it is a scriptural principle that God set forth in His Word.

Listen to the song and then I will explain what I mean by that...

Reach out and touch someone, let them know you care.
They may be needing someone to share
all their hurts and disappointments;
let them know you're there...
Reach out and touch someone today!

Forget about yourself and your "personal" pain;
someone may be going thru the very same thing.
And even as you pray for them,
God can heal "your" pain...
Reach out and touch someone today!

James 5:16 says.........pray one for another that "you" may be healed!   When we pray for someone else, it takes our minds off of ourselves, and that is when The Lord can work in our own situations!

If you have sickness attacking your body...pray for someone else that is being attacked. If you have children that are out of the will of God...pray for someone else's children.  If you need a job...pray for someone else that needs a job.  If you have loved ones that are lost...pray for the salvation of others.  No matter what you are going through, if you will forget about your
own situation long enough to pray for someone else, this will open the door for God to get involved, not only in your life, but in the life of someone else!!  Isn't that awesome?
