T.O.D.A.Y.'S ENCOURAGEMENT for June 12, 2008
T.O.D.A.Y.
Ministries
14745 Merrilltown #1611 Austin TX 78728 Good Morning!
I
want to continue talking about God's COVENANT promises concerning
"lack". Not because I want you to "focus" on the
LACK in your life, but to get you to "focus" on the way to get rid
of it! God has a lot to say in His Word concerning this subject, and He
is wanting all of us to KNOW what He has to say about it!
Most people associate the word "lack" with money or material
provisions. So, some of you may think that this message does not really
pertain to you, simply because you have plenty of money and material
provisions. However, when God talks about "lack", He does not
limit it to those things. He is talking about any and all of His
COVENANT promises to us! In fact, one of His COVENANT promises to
us is that we would not "lack" ANY beneficial thing! He
also says that He will not withhold ANY good thing from us!
So, even if you are blessed with an abundance of money and material
possessions, you could still be "lacking" in some other area of your
life. For example . . . Maybe there are times in your life that you
experience a "lack" of PEACE, or a "lack"
of JOY, a "lack" of SLEEP, or a "lack"
of SELF-WORTH and VALUE, or ANY beneficial thing that you
have need of!
I
want to share something with you that I believe will help you in your
"research" of the scriptures concerning "lack".
Many times in the Bible, the word "want" is used to represent
"lack". We tend to think that the word "want" relates
to "desire". Let me show you how my "lack" of
knowledge about this caused me to feel guilty for years and years. I
still remember when I was growing up, and would be telling my mother about
something that I "wanted". She would always "quote"
the King James version of Psalms 23:1 . . . she would say, "Luanne, it
says in the bible that The Lord is your Shepherd, you shall not WANT". I
grew up thinking that it was wrong for me to "want" any thing for
myself! If I had only known, that the word "want" in that
scripture really meant that I would not have any "lack" in
my life as long as I acknowledged The Lord as my SHEPHERD! I know that
now, but I did not know it at that time and so I suffered a lot of
"guilt" because of my "lack" of knowledge about God's
COVENANT WORD! That is the reason that I have such a strong
desire to help others get "revelation knowledge" of God's
COVENANT WORD!
I
will talk some more about this tomorrow . . . I believe that this is a
"Word in due season" for the church. Too many of God's
COVENANT children are experiencing "lack" in some area of their life
due to their "lack of knowledge" concerning God' s COVENANT with
them! More to come ~~~~~
