Good
Morning!
What I
want to share with all of you today, is something that I have shared with so
many people, but I don't think I have ever shared it in any of my
"encouragements". However, if I have, then I guess it is time
for me to share it again! It has to do with the "meantimes" in
our life. You know, like I said in one of my songs...."sometimes
prayers won't be answered instantly, but in the "meantime", make up
your mind, not to be discouraged". Remember that song?
Anyway, the "meantime" is that time of waiting on God. No
wonder it is called the "meantime".....it really can be a mean
time!
Anyway,
I believe that you will be blessed by what I am going to share with you.
I know that I have been blessed time and time again for what God showed
me about this, and many others have been also.
Several
years ago, my youngest son had promised me that he would come and fix the
muffler on my car so that I could get an inspection sticker. I did not
want to drive my car until this was done (God's Word says that we are supposed
to comply with the law...right?). Moving right along....I was expecting him to
come that day and was waiting for him to knock on my door to let me know that
he was there to fix it for me.
If
any of you can relate to this....sometimes we cannot always depend on our
"kids" to do what they say they will do. So after waiting and
waiting and waiting, and he still had not come...then I began to get
"anxious" and "fretful" and "resentful", and
wanted to pick up the phone and call him to remind him of what he had
promised to do! I hope you will get hold of what I just said,
because when I decided to wait a little longer, then he knocked on my
door. I was "frowning" when I opened the door and then I heard
him say...."Okay, Mom, I got your muffler fixed"! He had
gone ahead and fixed my muffler before he came and told me that he was
there!
Please
hear this...all the time that I was "fretting and worrying", my son
had been underneath my car "working on it"! I did not know that,
because my car was parked in a place that I could not see from my
apartment!
God
spoke to me about this....He said, "Just because you could not
"see" James working on your car did not mean that he wasn't.
Then God said, "It is the same way with Me...you may not always
"see" me working in your behalf, so that is when you just have to
"trust Me" and know that I am underneath your car, working on it,
whether or not you can see anything "fixed"!
I
pray that this simple revelation will help you in your "mean
times" of waiting on God....when you find yourself in a "holding
on" time, remember to say this...."I believe that God is underneath
my car, working"! What God has
"promised" to fix.....HE WILL FIX!
This
has been a little longer than my usual "encouragements"....thank you
for taking time to read it all. I believe it could be
"life-changing" for you! It was for "me"!
Have
a Blessed Weekend! (God is underneath your car,
working)! In His Love, Luanne
