Morning!
I
started this week's "encouragements" talking about the ministry of
angels, so I am going to finish this week by sharing some more scriptures
concerning this subject. You might want to refer back to those I sent on
Monday and Tuesday. I missed a couple of days in between then and
now....sorry about that.
Anyway,
I will continue on with it today. The Lord wants us to really
understand the "truth" about angels and what He has assigned them to
do. As I have already said, many of you have been taught about this, but
it doesn't hurt to be reminded from time to time. In fact, that is
exactly what He told us to do (read Hebrews 2:1). This verse is simply a
continuation of what was said in Hebrews 1:14, which I shared in Monday's
encouragement.
Let's
look at those two verses~~~Hebrews 1:14 tells us that the angels are sent
forth to minister to (or serve) the "heirs of salvation". Who
are the "heirs of salvation"? Well, that would be me and you
(if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord). The next verse which is
Hebrews 2:1 (remember that the original writings were not separated by
"chapters") says this: "Since all of this is true, we
ought to pay much closer attention than ever to the truths that we have heard,
lest in any way we drift past them and slip away" (Amplified
Bible).
See!
I wasn't the one that came up with the fact that we need to be
"reminded" about the ministry of angels....God, Himself, said so!
Many people have been given the wrong idea
about the angels that God was talking about in Hebrews....that is because they
have seen pictures of little fat babies with wings. Psalms 103:20 says
that God's angels "excel in strength"....that doesn't sound
like "little fat babies" to me!
All through the Bible, you can read that
God has "commanded" His angels to deliver us from ALL HARM,
ALL EVIL, ALL DANGER, and ALL DESTRUCTION! No wonder why God wants us to
be "mindful" of this covenant promise! I, personally, thank
Him every day for this promise. I also "speak"
it over myself, my family and my loved ones. I have seen God keep
this "promise" time and time again! I encourage you to
speak forth God's Word concerning the ministry of angels....Jeremiah 1:12 says
that God will "watch over His Word to perform it"!

do it at another time~~~~~~~
