T.O.D.A.Y.'S  ENCOURAGEMENT for July 07, 2008

Good Morning!

 

In my Encouragement, last Tuesday, I talked about how The Lord has placed "conditions" on His COVENANT blessings.  He puts these conditions there for our "protection" . . . not for His personal "satisfaction". He doesn't need us to obey His Word, just to make Him feel that He is the "boss"!  He knows THAT whether we keep His "conditions" or not!  He just wants to make sure that we receive all of the COVENANT blessings that He has made available to us!  Just for example . . . He tells us that if we will "seek Him first, and will do things His way, then everything that we need will be added to us! (Matthew 6:33 Amp. Bible).  I am going to use that scripture as a "foundation" as I bring out so many more of God's COVENANT blessings that come with a "condition"!  I encourage you to think about each one of them as being God's way of doing things.  The instructions are so very simple . . . IF we will just do it "His Way", we will receive the COVENANT blessings!

 

For example . . . The Lord has promised us that we can find FAVOR with Him and other people, IF we are always "merciful and truthful"! (Proverbs 3:3-4). I don't know about you, but I really enjoy finding FAVOR with God and FAVOR with other people every where I go!  I made a "decision" to do things His way in order to always have FAVOR with Him!  It is important to me to be His "favorite"!    YOU can be His "favorite" also, when you do what His "conditions" tell you to do!

 

Let's look at the first "condition" of that scripture . . . IF we are "merciful".  Are you always "kind and considerate" . . . do you have "compassion" for others that are hurting?  Do you remember how The Lord showed you His mercy when you did not deserve it?  Do you "forgive" people who have done you wrong?  All of these things are "definitions" of the word MERCIFUL.  Are you "merciful"?  And aren't you glad that The Lord is "merciful" towards you?  Can I get an "Amen"?

 

Tomorrow, I will talk about the second "condition" in that scripture . . . IF we are "truthful".  Stay tuned in . . . you will find out how to have FAVOR with God everywhere you go!  He so desires for you to have this 'FAVOR"!
