Good Morning!

You know what?  We spend so much time "seeking" the things that we think are important to us.....like more money, more clothes, more free time, more respect and consideration from others, more of anything and everything that will "satisfy" us.

What we really need to do, is spend more time "seeking" God.  Matthew 6:33 tells us that if we will "seek" Him FIRST, then all of these other things will be given to us!  The word "seek" in that scripture does not mean that God is playing "hide and seek" with us. That would imply that He is trying to be hard to find.

No!  That word "seek" is literally translated as "aim at"...in other words, make it your "goal" (put your focus, or sight on it as though you were aiming at a target)!  If we are "seeking" God, then we are "seeking" His wisdom and Proverbs tells us that if we seek "wisdom" we will find it!  It is so simple....what we really need, more than anything else, is the WISDOM OF GOD in all of our affairs.  That is what will bring about the "things" you want to happen in your life!

If you really desire to have the wisdom of God, then I encourage you to start by reading the book of Proverbs....there is a chapter for everyday of the month. So, it is like a daily devotional to read.  Whatever day it is...read that chapter.  Today's Proverb starts off talking about the fact that our "fleshly" desires will keep us from walking in the wisdom of God!

More about this tomorrow~~~~~~~
