Good
Morning!
I am so thankful to God for "delivering" me from depression, and for
teaching me how to "stay" delivered by showing me what the
"warning signals" are, in order to avoid being lured back into that
"horrible pit"! The "pit" is for the devil, not for
God's people!
Yesterday, I mentioned a couple of things that the enemy uses as
"bait"...(self-condemnation and self-pity). Most of us know that
both of those things are wrong. However, the devil can be very
"subtle", and he knows exactly which "bait" he can use to
trap certain individuals. For example, a lot of people think that feeling
"despondent" or "discouraged" or "sad" are just
"normal" emotions, and nothing to be concerned about. Please
hear me...Jesus never said that it was okay to be despondent, discouraged
or sad! He told us over and over again, for us to "be of good
cheer"..."be encouraged"..."be joyful"!
Jesus wants us to "enjoy" the life that He came to give us>>>
This is what He said..."The thief comes only in order that he may steal,
kill and destroy. But I came that you may have and enjoy life, and
have it in abundance-----to the fullness, until it overflows"! (John
10:10) Amplified Bible
Depression causes us to turn "inward", and we start thinking only
about ourselves and what we "don't have", therefore, not only are we
not "enjoying life", but we cannot let "life and joy" overflow
from us out to others! The Apostle Paul tells us "not to be ignorant
of Satan's devices" (2Corinthians 2:11). The Lord can
"disappoint the devices of the enemy" (Job 5:12)... So, you do not
have to suffer "depression" and you do not have to be
"lured" into it...just "call upon the name of The Lord"!
It does not take a lot of time or effort to just say... "Jesus, I call upon
your name".
Have a Blessed Weekend!! In His Love, Luanne
