Good Morning!
Today I want to talk to you about the antidote for "irritation". Not the kind that comes from poison ivy or
dry skin, but the kind that comes from people or situations. Some people are more easily irritated than
others, but no one is immune.
What irritates you? Barking dogs?,
buzzing flies?, honking horns?, someone's voice?, rude people?, what about
waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting? Everybody is going to
become irritated at one time or another, but how long we stay that way depends
upon us.
Earlier today, I had a situation that was very irritating to me, but as I was
driving away from the store, I started talking to myself about it (because I
know that staying irritated can be a "thief". It can rob us of our peace and joy), Anyway,
I heard myself say, " Luanne, the antidote for irritation is irrigation."
The Word of God, and the wisdom we glean from it, becomes a
"wellspring" on the inside of us and a "gushing
stream". (Read Proverbs 16:22 and
18:4). Ephesians talks about the
"washing of the water of the Word", Jesus said, "out of your
inner most beings, shall flow rivers of living water."
Tomorrow, we will talk about applying this to our personal lives and
situations. We don't have to let irritations steal our peace and joy!
Have a Blessed
Day!!
In His Love, Luanne
