I
will continue to share some of my past with you all, simply out of obedience
to The Lord . . . and believe me, I am having to trust Him every step of the
way that this is going to make a difference in someone's life. That is
what He promised me, and whatever God promises to do . . . He will do!
The
situations that I will be sharing with you may not be in the order that they
occurred in my life, but I know that The Lord will tie it all together and
turn it into a "testimony" for His Glory!
I
grew up in a "dysfunctional" family. The funny part about
it (not funny, as is Ha Ha . . . but funny as is strange), is that we did not know
we were "dysfunctional"! I never even heard that phrase until
I was a grown woman. However, when I did find out what it meant, then I
had to admit that yes, I guess we were dysfunctional . . . and I
was probably the most "dysfunctional" one of them all!
I think that The Lord wants to insert a little "humor" in to all of
this, in order to keep it from being depressing! These messages are
supposed to "encourage" you, not make you feel sad!
I guess this is leading me
to talk about my personal battle with "depression". I know,
personally, why that state of mind is sometimes called "the pits".
That is exactly what "depression" is! First of all, because it
comes straight from the "pit" of Hell and it feels like you are in a
deep, dark HOLE! I know all about it and I know how it gets started.
I want to help someone avoid this "torment", so I am going to
lay out the vicious "cycle" that is involved. I will talk
about the "cycle" in my next Encouragement. I hope that you
will continue to read what I have to say about this . . . because
even if you are not having
a problem with "depression", I encourage you to read what The Lord
is going to have me share about it, so that you can understand and have
compassion for someone who is going through this, and be able to help
them! It might even help YOU avoid ever having to
