Good
Morning!
I
am still sharing about being "covenant-minded", and talking
"covenant-talk". Today, I want to talk about the importance of
having a reverential fear of The Lord. After all, this is what we must
have, in order to get to the place where we really are "mindful" of
His covenant.
Proverbs
1:7 tells us that the reverent and worshipful fear of The Lord is the
beginning of wisdom. Of course, it is talking about "Godly"
wisdom, not the wisdom of the world! So, then . . . IF we have a
reverential fear of The Lord, it will keep our "walk" in line
with God's will, because we will want to use His "wisdom"
in the decisions and choices that we make each day.
Also
. . . IF we have a reverential fear of The Lord, it will keep our
"talk" in line with God's will, or as I put it . . . we will
talk "covenant-talk". You know why? Because if we really have
a reverential fear of The Lord, a warning "beep" will go off
on the inside of us when we say something contrary to what God's Word says!
Remember, this "signal" is only activated by the "reverential
fear of The Lord"!
What does it mean to have
a reverential fear of The Lord? First of all, let's look at what it does
NOT mean ~~~~ It does not mean that you think about Him as the
"big eye in the sky" with a great big "stick", waiting for
you to make a wrong move! It simply means that you have such a love and
reverence for Him, that you want to be obedient to His Word and be pleasing to
Him! It means that you are willing to say NO to what your flesh wants,
feels or thinks, and say YES to what His Word says about your situation!
Oh, this is a good word from the Lord! Can I get a AMEN?
A lot of people think
they have a reverential fear of The Lord, but they don't have a revelation of
His "covenant" . . . Well, tomorrow, I am going to give you a
scripture that will let you know what His Word has to say about that!
Stay tuned in, turned on and teachable! Reflection:
As I was just reading back over what I typed, I was wondering why The Lord had
me say that about staying "teachable" . . . and this is what He
spoke in my spiri t~~~~~ Anytime, we think that we don't need to
hear a certain message (because we think we already know about that) . . .
that is the very message that we DO need to hear! Selah (which
means . . . stop and think about it)! I don't know about you guys and
gals, but "this kid" is gonna stay TEACHABLE!
Have
a Blessed Day!! (Stay
tuned in, turned on and teachable!)
In His Love, Luanne
