Morning!
Today, I want to point out
something that we Christians really need to think about! We have been
given a "commandment" from God to walk in love with everyone, but
especially with our Christian sisters and brothers! The Bible is very
adamant about the importance of Christians showing love toward "one
another". We are living in a time when this is even more important
than ever before.
We are being
"scrutinized" by the entire world right now because of all the
publicity and controversy surrounding "Christianity", all the way
from the "church house" to the "White house"! I want
to encourage you to read Webster's defintion of "scrutiny". It
will really open your eyes to what I am talking about!
If they see those of
us that call ourselves Christians, and yet are continually fussing...
fighting...gossiping... and back-biting among ourselves, then how are we ever going
to convince them that they "need what we have"?
If I was not a Christian, and observed this kind of behavior....I
would be thinking, why do I need to "convert" and go to church?
I have all that going on right where I am!
I am not trying to bring
anyone under "condemnation", but it is time for all of us
to receive a "Wake-up-call"! God's "Love
commandment" was not given to us to put us in
"bondage"....it was given to us to set us free so that we can set "others"
free! So, tomorrow I am going to share one of my songs with you that I
believe will do that!
