Morning!
I
don't usually send the "encouragement" on Federal or National
holidays, because I know that people are enjoying their "day off".
However, the reason I am sending one today, is because it is being observed as
"President's Day". So, I just want to encourage you to take
time today to pray for our "President"!
Let
me share with you what The Lord has to say about this in 1Timothy
2:1-4~~~~~
I
exhort you therefore, that, first of all....... supplications,
prayers,
intercessions
and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for Kings,
and
for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and
peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and
acceptable
in the sight of God, our Savior; Who desires for all men
to
be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth!
The
reason we need to be obedient to pray this way, is so that we can
live our lives in "peace, godliness and honesty", and so
that those who are in authority will be saved and "have
a knowledge of the truth of God's Word"! I encourage
you to read these scriptures!
