Good Morning!

I am finishing up Psalms 23:1 by sharing with you some things that have to do with the covenant promise that The Good Shepherd gave concerning "lack".

I remember when The Lord finally got it across to me that His sheep should not be experiencing "lack" in their lives.  I was reading Psalms 23:1 . . . I had read it many, many times before, as I am sure all of you have.  We all have read it out loud in church services, and read it out loud in Sunday School, and read it out loud when we had been assigned to "memorize" it, and read it out loud to our young children, and read it out loud when we were scared . . . does this sound "familiar" to any of you?   Well, that is a point that needs to be made right here . . .i.e. the verse, itself, has just become so "familiar" to us that we just "read it out loud" without really thinking about what The Lord is actually "saying" to us!

Anyway, that day when I read "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not lack", I began to "think" about that. I was certainly experiencing "lack" in my pasture at that time, so I said, "Lord, what is wrong with this picture?".  That is when He began to give me a revelation about "talking covenant-talk"!  He revealed to me that I could "read" that verse over and over again until Jesus comes back, but until I "believed" it in my heart and "confessed" it with my mouth, it would not come to pass in my life!

Think about it, that is what you had to do in order for your "salvation" to come to pass in your life . . . right?  You had to "believe" in your heart and "confess" with your mouth in order to receive the promise of eternal life with Jesus!

Anyway, I knew then what I was supposed to be doing, and so I chose to "obey" what God's Word was saying, no matter what my circumstances were saying!  I knew that the word "shall" was a covenant Word, and so I started saying out of my mouth,  I SHALL NOT LACK!  THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD AND SO THERE IS NO LACK IN MY PASTURE!!!  Things may not have changed overnight, but I just kept on saying it anyway, and today there is no lack in my pasture! But I still continue to say the same thing because "faith comes by hearing", and when I hear myself saying those words, my faith stays strong enough to make sure that I KEEP that stinking "lack" out of my pasture!   I want to share some more about the "pasture" part Thursday . . . remember, I won't be sending an encouragement out tomorrow.

Say this ~~~~~ I SHALL NOT LACK!  THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD AND SO THERE IS NO LACK IN MY PASTURE!

Have a Blessed Day!!             ( Lack "stinks"! )                 In His Love, Luanne
