Good
Morning and Merry Christmas!
I
am going to continue talking about the "covenant", but The Lord has
a special message for someone today. So, I am going to be obedient to
the leading of The Holy Spirit. The Lord does this from time to time
when I am teaching on a series, because He is smarter than we are and He knows
when someone needs to hear a "special" Word from Him!
He has reminded me that
this is the time of year when "depression" seems to come upon so
many people. You can understand "why" if you know how the devil
works. Jesus said that Satan comes to "steal, kill and
destroy" (John 10:10). This is a time when we are supposed to
experience PEACE...JOY...and HOPE! You know, like "Peace on
Earth"...."Joy to the World"....."Christ in us, the
hope of Glory"! God sent Jesus so that we could
have those things! Well, the devil wants to "steal"
all of that from us, so he sends a spirit of "heaviness"
(depression). He gets us to "focus" on everything that is
causing us to be "discouraged" (remember this...discouragement will
eventually lead to depression). That is the reason that The Lord
tells us over and over again to not be "discouraged"!
He also said that He would give to us a "garment of Praise" for
the "spirit of heaviness"! Please read Isaiah 61:3, it will
bless you! This is a "covenant" promise!! It belongs to
you!
You can "stop"
the spirit of heaviness and depression before it comes, by putting
on a "garment of Praise" as soon as you start feeling
"discouraged"! For those of you that are going through
"depression" right now...you can Praise your way out of
it! Don't allow the "grinch devil" to steal your peace
and joy of Christmas, or your hope for "new beginnings"
in the upcoming new year! Open your mouth and say..."I will bless The
Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth"(Psalm
34:1).
My heart is heavy for
those of you that are going through depression....if you want us to pray for
you, please let us know. You can send your prayer request to:
PrayerToday@webtv.net
We are here for you and we care!
Have
a Blessed Day!! (You have a
"covenant" with God!) In His Love, Luanne
